The lock pad is the whole system

Somewhere in your plot is a circle. Step on it. Lasers go up. Nobody enters until the timer ends. New accounts get about 60 seconds. Rebirths on Brainrot-style copies add roughly +10 seconds each. Some remakes sell a VIP chunk on top. When the timer hits zero, the base is a public street again. There is no “permanent lock” on the original design.

Muscle memory:

1. Park a unit.
2. Step on the pad before you open the shop.
3. If you leave to buy on the carpet, accept that your plot will open while you are gone. Time the trip.
4. After any steal alert, pad first, then chase.

What to do when the alert fires

You will hear a warning with the unit’s name. Do this in order:

1. Look at your doorway, not the chat.
2. If they are still inside, bat / slap them. A hit drops the carry on most copies.
3. Pick your own latamrot back up and slot it.
4. Lock. Even if you think they left.
5. Only then chase into the street, and only if the unit is still in their arms.

If they already reached their lasers, the unit is gone. Do not camp their door unless their lock is about to expire and you have a coil. Tilt raids lose more than they recover.

Ranks and skip-worthy junk: gear tier list. Troll items (fake listings, slap variants) are fun on Friday; they are not a lock replacement.

Placement

• Put high-income units deeper in the plot so a doorway grab does not instantly take Los Simios.
• First floor is the easiest to rob. After rebirth opens a second floor, park secrets upstairs if the copy allows it.
• Sentries on the stairs beat sentries at the street. Players bat street turrets for sport.
• Do not block your own pad with traps. You will lock late and lose the argument with yourself.

Friends, alts, and the traitor setting

Copies that cloned Steal a Brainrot include a toggle so friends walk through lasers. That toggle is also how your “friend” steals the secret you asked them to hold for rebirth. Server hygiene

Eight players. If two of them are clearly running auto-steal scripts, hop. You will not out-micro a noclip. If the server is a pile of empty plots, stay — empty plots cannot steal you. If one player has a coil and a trap nest, you are their content; leave.

Event defense

Admin abuse and Friday events spawn expensive units on the carpet. Your lock timer will not cover a two-minute brawl in the tunnel. Decision rule: if you already hold the best unit on the server, stay home. If you are hunting the new secret, accept the risk and relock the second you return.

Protecting is boring. That is why it works. The players with the best index are not the best stealers; they are the ones who touch the pad.
