After the 9 November 2025 takedown, Spanish creators stopped saying “search Steal an Latamrot” and started saying Catch a Latamrot. RUYAX’s full explainer (already used on this wiki’s rebirth page) called it the improved sequel: same steal loop, wider Hispanic index, streamer update, meteor / food / blackout mutations. This page is the 2026 field guide so you do not grind the cactus copy’s thin roster by mistake. Copies map: which copy to play.

The short in the middle is a “has it returned?” clip from 13 November 2025 — mutations and extra characters, plus a comment war about whether RoVe was really back. That war never ended. Check the Roblox creator, not the title.

What changed from Steal to Catch

• Name. Search-poison workaround after the original vanished.
• Roster. Chamini, Knuckles, López, Gustambo, Holdman, Palomini lines, Pikausini, Perro de Chile, Agente P, La Chancla, and more. Full dump: latamrot index.
• Mutations. Meteorito, comida (food), apagón (blackout), plus streamer-themed traits. These are Catch-era, not guaranteed on cactus listings.
• Streamer update. Live admin windows with extra luck, same energy as admin abuse.
• Loop. Still buy / steal / lock / rebirth on an 8-player street. Map still applies.

If the shop still only has Normal / Colombia / Argentina and Betito, you are probably on a thin Steal copy, not Catch. Hop.

Mutations (what they actually do)

Exact multipliers drift per remake. The pattern:

• Meteor. Event weather, rare trait, flex more than income unless the HUD says otherwise.
• Food / comida. Catch-era trait from the streamer patch. Rank $/s.
• Blackout / apagón. Visibility and chaos. Bankers win. Hunters rage.
• Streamer skins. Cameos. Steal-bait. Not automatically S-tier.

Do not collect mutations “for the index” if they occupy a slot that could hold Los Simios. Tier list still sorts by cash per second.

Friday vs Saturday

Original Steal listings joked Friday. Catch coverage and some 2026 remakes drifted toward Saturday windows (one Los Simios fuse timer was Saturday 15 November 2025). Steal a Brainrot itself now patches Saturdays. If your copy posts a Roblox event, believe the event, not the description joke. Friday events stays the calendar page; this page flags the Catch drift.

Play links and death rate

Catch a Latamrot place IDs rotate the same way Steal ones did. A RUYAX description once pointed at a Catch URL; it may 404 today. Use Getting Started favorites, then verify 8 players + steal text. Mehh Studios’ Roba un Latamrot remake was still receiving June 2026 updates with small CCU — a Catch-flavored listing, not the original universe.
