Stealing is the part of Steal an Latamrot that makes the title honest. Buying off the carpet is a tycoon. Walking into an unlocked plot and leaving with someone else’s El Abrahaham is the game. This guide assumes you already claimed a base in Getting Started and understand the loop in how to play.

Rules the HUD will not spell out

• You cannot enter a base while its lasers are up. Paying Robux to force a door is a copy-specific pass, not a default.
• While you carry a stolen latamrot you are slowed, jump is shorter, and gear is often disabled. You are a piñata.
• The owner gets a loud alert with the unit’s name. They will turn around. Plan for that, not for stealth.
• One unit per trip on standard copies. Greed is how you drop the secret in the doorway.
• If they bat or slap you before you reach your pad, the unit falls. Whoever touches it owns the carry.

Pick the right target

Look at income, not vibes. A shiny Colombia-region meme that prints less than your starter is a trophy, not a steal. Use the latamrot tier list and the HUD number over the slot. Official art flexes Los Simios Secret at huge per-second rates — that is the unit you cross the street for. Betito is not.

Prefer adjacent plots. Diagonal raids give the owner time to step on their pad or meet you with a slap. If both neighbors are sweaty, hop servers. Eight players means a new street is one click away.

The basic raid (no gamepasses)

1. Watch their lock timer from outside. Some copies show it on the lasers, others you just count from the last time they stepped on the pad (~60 seconds, more after rebirth).
2. Stand at the doorway, not inside, so you are not already trespassing if they relock.
3. When lasers drop, sprint to the highest income slot on the first floor. Upper floors wait until you have a coil.
4. Grab (E / tap). Do not emote.
5. Take the shortest path to your pad. Around the back is only better if the owner is in the front with a bat.
6. Step on your lock the instant the unit slots. They will follow you in if you celebrate.

That is the whole beginner raid. Most failed steals are people grabbing a random unit or forgetting the pad.

When the owner is home

If they are standing on the pad, leave. A lock in progress is a wasted slow. If they are on the carpet, raid now — that is the classic opening.

If they chase, do not turn around to fistfight unless you already dropped the unit and have a bat. Fighting while carrying is how both of you lose it to a third player. The street is a three-body problem on an 8-player map.

Tools that change the raid

These unlock on copies that cloned the Brainrot gear tree. Your shop may be thinner.

• Speed / gravity coil: first real upgrade. Pathing beats combos.
• Slap: bigger hitbox than the starter bat when you are the defender, or to knock a carrier off your lawn. See gear.
• Trap: place behind their pad, not in the doorway you need to exit.
• Sentry: defense, not offense. Put it inside, not at the street where it gets batted.
• Invis / body swap / cloner: high-rebirth extras on richer copies. Do not assume a weekend remake has them.

Team raids

Two friends can split roles: one baits the owner to the carpet, one grabs. Turn on friend-door options only if you trust them — several copies let friends walk lasers and steal you. How to protect covers that trap.

After the steal

Park, lock, collect. If the unit was a rebirth requirement, do not rebirth until you have a plan to get it back — the rebirth page explains the alt hold. If it was an event secret, check admin abuse so you know whether more are about to spawn and make yours look common.
