Rebirth in Steal an Latamrot

Rebirth is the only real progression in Steal an Latamrot. The carpet will eventually list units you cannot afford at your current income, and the lock timer will feel short against coils. Clicking rebirth deletes parked latamrots and most of your cash, then pays you a longer lock, extra slots or floors, a cash multiplier, and gear such as slaps and coils. Copies inherit this from Steal a Brainrot. Exact dollar numbers drift. The decision does not.

The video in the middle of this page walks a LATAM remake’s rebirth board: a required latamrot plus a cash gate. Use it as the shape of the menu, not as a promise that your clone’s first rebirth still costs the same.

What you lose

• Every latamrot sitting on a slot.
• Most cash (you usually keep a small bonus).
• Units still walking from the carpet to a base — they bounce back to the shop on many copies.
• A steal in progress: if someone is carrying your unit when you click, it can vanish. Do not rebirth mid-raid.

What you keep / gain

• Gear already unlocked (bat, slap, coils on typical trees).
• Index progress on copies that track an index.
• Lock time (commonly +10 seconds per rebirth).
• Slots / floors from rebirth 2 onward on Brainrot-style maps.
• A money multiplier so the next starter prints faster.
• Shop unlocks: Iron / Gold slaps, gravity coil, friend controller, bee launcher, traps — names vary, see gear.

Rebirth 1 often does not add a slot. It is the awkward one: you pay a unit tax for lock time and a slap. Still worth it if you understand how to protect.

Typical first-rebirth shape

On the parent game, rebirth 1 asked for mid-tier units plus hundreds of thousands of cash. LATAM copies swap those names for Hispanic memes (a Palomini-class unit showed up as a requirement in Catch a Latamrot coverage). Your checklist:

1. Open the Rebirth tab (left stack, same neighborhood as Codes / Shop).
2. Write down the named latamrots and the cash number.
3. Park those units. Do not sell them for a carpet flex.
4. Hit the cash number with AFK plus one or two steals.
5. Only then click.

If the named unit is a secret, you may want the alt hold (below) so you are not starting from Betito again.

The alt / trusted-hold trick

Community standard, not an exploit:

1. Before you rebirth, have your alt or a person you actually trust steal your best units.
2. They lock.
3. You rebirth on the main.
4. You steal the units back.

This only works if both of you can execute how to steal and how to protect. A random from voice chat will log off with Los Simios. The friend-door toggle makes the return steal easier and the betrayal easier. Use your second account when you can.

When not to rebirth

• An admin abuse or Friday event is about to spawn secrets. Rebirth into an event with an empty plot is pain.
• You do not own the required units yet and are hoping the button “just works.” It will not.
• You are the server’s richest plot and everyone is waiting for you to click so they can snatch the walking leftovers.
• You have not learned the lock pad. Extra lock seconds do not help if you never step on it.

After you click

Buy a cheap starter off the carpet, lock, and use the new coil / slap immediately. Your multiplier makes the boring units decent. Rebuild toward the next rebirth requirements while they are cheap relative to your new income. Check the latamrot index so you do not grind the wrong meme.

If the copy you joined has a broken rebirth (button does nothing, or wipes gear too), you are on a bad clone. Getting Started and links are how you hop to a map that still has the loop.

Rebirth is a planned wipe, not a panic button. Treat it like spending a secret, because that is what it is.
